Amazon hired dotdotdash to develop a concept that combined the experience of watching movies and shows with emerging technology. We built a custom oversize popcorn maker and programmed a robotic arm to develop Pop Bot. This robotic popcorn machine that serves custom-flavored popcorn based on guests’ taste in entertainment on Amazon Fire TV. Guests use a touchscreen to chose between three video clips - and three corresponding popcorn flavors - that were then prepared by a robotic popcorn server.
