About ME

I thrive in fast-paced environments in roles where I can be both strategic and creative. Forever curious, I have an insatiable urge to always keep learning, explore and try new things. I love being the go-to person for recommendations of where to eat and drink, and where to travel the world off the beaten path.

Hi! My name is Kailee Crawford, and I’m excited to meet you!

I’m an experiential marketer and event producer currently living in San Francisco, California. My experience lies at the intersection of marketing, events, and client services. I feel comfortable “wearing a lot of hats” as most of my positions were a hybrid combination of account management, creative strategy and execution, which was both challenging and rewarding.

As a people person, I enjoy working in client-facing roles where I can build genuine relationships and rapport. I feel comfortable talking to clients and colleagues from all levels of seniority. I love being a part of a team with opportunities to collaborate cross-functionally to develop marketing campaigns and events. It’s my happy place!

I've worked in many industries, including electric vehicles, sports, media, consumer packaged goods, SaaS, Web3, fashion, retail, creative technology and fine wine and alcohol. My skills have proven to be transferable across multiple industries, allowing me to quickly adapt to client’s goals and priorities.

I grew up with a love for the creative arts: Drawing, painting, writing, training in classical opera and learning how to play five instruments, . When I started college at the University of Oregon, my original major focused on music psychology, but something was missing. My Dad encouraged me to apply for business school and sign up for marketing classes where I could tap into my creativity - It was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. My very first internship was in sports marketing, working for the Dew Tour in Portland, Oregon, where I fell in love with marketing and event production. I made it my mission to get a job at ESPN.

CAREER TRAJECTORY

Moving to New York after college, I began my career in marketing at ESPN on the College Sports Team. It was my dream job! And the Oregon Ducks football team was one of the top teams in the nation at the time. I worked in operational marketing, developing campaigns for on-air advertising, content development, editorial, paid media, social media content, and video production.

My roles following ESPN were always a hybrid of account management, marketing, and event production. Working for GMR and Complex for clients SAP and PepsiCo were extremely rewarding experiences, where I developed my expertise in experiential marketing. I’m comfortable overseeing end-to-end event logistics, including initial event ideation, creative development, budget management, venue sourcing, vendor management, staffing, travel, invoicing, catering, talent procurement, and on-site execution.

My favorite job to-date was at a creative technology start-up, where our team utilized emerging technologies to create unique, interactive events. We worked on projects that incorporated robotics, VR, AR, 3D projection-mapping, RFID, and other interactive technologies for events. I managed teams that included creative directors, digital designers, extended reality developers, interactive developers, software engineers, AV developers, UX designers, and product designers. In 2022, I worked with a Web3 client for multi-day events surrounding both NFT LA and NFT.NYC.

PASSIONS

Outside of work, I love to travel and explore the world to experience different cultures and countries. I’ve been to 34 countries and have visited my favorite (Spain) 8x different times, including the Canary Islands.

I hold a level 2 certification from the Court of Master Sommeliers and worked as a sommelier from October 2019 - 2023 before transitioning into B2B wine sales at a distributor. I’m now just a huge wine nerd who loves visiting wine regions and going wine tasting, in addition to growing my wine collection.

I’m a huge foodie and love to eat our and try new restaurants. I’ve been curating my Google Maps restaurant and bar lists since 2011 and have become the go-to friend for any recommendations in the US and abroad.
